About / Now

A little context.

I’m Jonathon Chambers, a Software Engineer / Technical Lead based in the Macon/Atlanta, Georgia area. My work sits at the intersection of backend systems, product reliability, testing, and deployment.

I enjoy taking complicated systems and making them easier to operate. That has meant building Golang services for audio appliances and AWS-connected backends, rewriting applications for faster startup and more reliable operation, and establishing testing practices where there were none before.

What I’m working on

At Audio Enhancement, I work on software that supports audio translation and transcription for classrooms, helping improve accessibility and communication between teachers and students. I also focus on automated testing, coding standards, documentation, and CI/CD workflows that help teams deliver with more confidence.

My personal projects include connecting ESP8266 and ESP32 sensors to Home Assistant and building custom tooling to schedule the startup of my Chevy each morning. The public version of this site stays focused on useful professional and technical context rather than private family details or personal schedules.
